Steering Committee of NRP 82 "Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services" elected
The Research Council has elected the Steering Committee of international experts who are responsible for the implementation of NRP 82.
The Steering Committee of NRP 82 is composed of academic and practice experts from Switzerland and abroad and chaired by Professor Markus Fischer of the University of Bern:

The members of the Steering Committee cover the various academic disciplines and represent relevant societal actors of NRP 82 and are charged, in particular, with selecting the research projects and providing scientific and implementation support. Dr. Sylvain Aubry, Senior Science and Policy Advisor at the Federal Office for Agriculture (FOAG), and Dr. Matthias Stremlow, Head of Section Biodiversity and Landscape at the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN), represent the Federal government in the Steering Committee and play a key role in knowledge transfer to the administration.
